A Great Fit - Impact Tiling and The Reno Guys working together

Starting up his own building company The Reno Guys in 2013, Dan Grimshaw was looking for a tiling sub-contractor to work on his jobs. After asking around, he tried out Impact Tiling and the partnership has grown from the ground up.

From bathroom renovations to full home refurbishments and major extensions, The Reno Guys have built a solid reputation for timely, high-quality workmanship in the Hamilton / Waikato area.

The company was started by Dan Grimshaw in 2013, after stints working in Auckland and London.

Ready to put down roots in the Waikato, he set up his own business and began asking around for recommendations of sub-contractors.

“I’m originally from the Hawkes Bay so I didn’t know many subbies in the area,” says Dan, who did a building apprenticeship in the NZ Army.

“A friend of mine in Hamilton was working in residential construction, so I asked him for sub-contractor recommendations for tiling services, and he told me to give Impact Tiling a go.”

Registered Master Builder Dan says Impact Tiling has been a constant supplier throughout his time in business, and he appreciates their reliability and work ethic.

“We have used them since we started, and they’re a great team to deal with,” he says.

“One of the best things about them is they’re a big company, so they’ve got plenty of grunt to get things done and cope with our busy schedule of upcoming projects.”

“They communicate really well. They’re good at putting things right when they need to and can be flexible if things change on the job,” he says.

The team has worked on a raft of successful renovation projects together, from tiling kitchen fit-outs, bathroom renovations with designer feature walls in showers, fully tiled floors throughout homes and tiled pool houses.

“Its good to work with like-minded contractors who have the same high standards of workmanship.” says Dan.

“Everyone’s happy and it’s a good fit for all of us.”
