Expectations were high when we completed a recent residential job in Horsham Downs, Hamilton. Working with high-end Hamilton builder Karl Kampenhout, the new home build had an expansive floor plan, with four bathrooms to tile. Utilising Ardex waterproofing products, a quick turnaround was achieved, with tiles installed 2 hours after waterproofing.
Beautiful, high-end design was a feature throughout the rural homestead.
Wanting everything in the bathrooms tiled, from the floor to walls, a mixture of on-trend tiles was used while maintaining an overall feeling of homeliness.
The main family bathroom features a charcoal hex tiled feature wall, while the master bedroom ensuite has a brickset handcrafted tile shower.
Impact Tiling Installer Grant enjoyed the challenge and opportunity to finish these high-end bathrooms to such a high level of skill and prestige.
“We completed the Ardex wpm750 waterproofing on these tiles, which we specialise in,” says Grant.
“This waterproofing method can be tiled straight after installation (two hours for wall tiling) where other methods can take up to a week dependent on dry times, so it was a quick turnaround.”
As owners of their own concrete laying company, the homeowners’ expectations were high, having their own eye for detail and an appreciation for the skills needed to complete a high-end job.
Speaking about the result, the client complemented Impact Tiling’s “great workmanship”.
