Zero Fire’s New Office Smoking Hot

The new Zero Fire head office near Hamilton Airport is a smoking hot show-stopper with cutting-edge design and lots of tile detail. Here we share some of the project insights, which we worked on closely with Foster’s Construction.

Fire protection design and installation experts Zero Fire had outgrown their start-up premises, so needed to find a new office location to service their Waikato and Bay of Plenty clientele.

Key requirements of the new office were an office space that encourages a team environment, enhanced collaboration and a good customer experience, along with plenty of room for the business to expand.

Deciding on a brand-new building near the Hamilton Airport, their new office comprises of both a purpose-built office and workshop space.

Tiling was a key feature of the architectural plans for the new-build. Zero Fire Director Travis Pocock credits their architect with a great overall design concept.

“You can thank the architect for the feature tiling in the bathrooms and shared kitchen space,” he says.

“Impact Tiling did an awesome job bringing the design all together.”

Tiling is a great flooring option for office and commercial spaces as it is durable and easy to clean, meaning it will look great for years to come.

The vertical subway tile brick-set backsplash in the shared kitchen space gives the space a slick, modern look that won’t date.

Bathrooms include tiled feature walls for vanity backdrops, as well as oversized floor tiles for a seamless fully-tiled look.

“We’re really happy with the finish of the tiling and the build in general and it was great to move in here at the end of last year,” says Travis.

As a contractor for construction projects themselves, the Impact Tiling team works with the Zero Fire team on many commercial projects including the Tauranga Crossing and Copper Crest Retirement Village in Tauranga.

“We enjoyed working onsite with the Zero Fire team,” says Impact Tiling Director Robbie Le Normand.

“It was a pleasure to work on their head office for the team to enjoy, and the space is looking absolutely awesome.”
